Born in Barcelos (PT), in 1992. Catarina works in the intersection of artistic practice and theoretical research in the expanded fields of drawing, writing and choreography, mostly in long-term collaborative projects. She is a PhD student at the Centro de Estudos Humanísticos da Universidade do Minho with a research that crosses art, love and capital. She is currently developing Colour Therapy, an applied practice between colour theory, postal art and choreographic intuition. She was awarded a scholarship by the Centro Nacional de Cultura in 2022 for the book Sexta-Feira, Alta Tristeza. In 2021 she edited Círculo, with Edições da Ruína; FUTURO - TEMPO - PAUSA - PONTO - AMOR - PENSAMENTO - CORPO - IMAGINAÇÃO inserted in the project Fund'Arte - Aldeias Criativas, Beira Baixa nucleus of the public art program of Fundação EDP and Manual Fantasma in co-authorship with José Costa, supported by Direcção Regional de Cultura do Norte. Also in 2021, she was the curator/caretaker of the living exhibition Comunidade at Plataforma Revólver; took part in the group exhibitions Homework 2 at Galeria Madragoa; Uteropias, at Kubik Gallery and Erro 417, at Galeria Municipal do Porto; and in the duo exhibitions Exposição Concentrados and Exposições Partilhadas with David Revés, at Thirdbase Studio and THE FALL with Lorraine Druon at Galeria do Sol. In 2022 she participated in the Ciclo das Amizades with LOVE MAKES US DRUNK along with Inês Brites; held with David Revés the postal project Exposições Endereçadas - 60 portable exhibitions sent by post mail and the individual exhibition A MINHA ESQUERDA É A TUA DIREITA at A Graciosa.
